Yasmin Levy / Una Noche Mas

Yasmin Levy is of Sephardic descent from the city of Izmir, Turkey. Her late father, Yitzhak (Isaac) Levy (1919–1977), was a composer and hazzan (cantor), as well as a pioneer researcher into the long and rich history of the Ladino music and culture of Spanish Jewry and its diaspora, being the editor of the Ladino language magazine Aki Yerushalayim. With her distinctive and emotive style, Yasmin has brought a new interpretation to the medieval Judeo-Spanish (Ladino) song by incorporating more "modern" sounds of Andalusian flamenco and Persian, as well as combining instruments like the darbuka, oud, violin, cello, and piano

Monika - Moonlight, EP "Primal" 2013

You're calling me at starlight
You're calling me at night
You're looking for a moment
But you know there isn't time

I'm calling you at starlight
I'm falling for you
But when there is a moment
We're both turning our heads to the moon

Talk to me slide over here
When you, walk with me
Tell me who you are

Talk to me slide over here
When you, come to me
Slide over here we'll go crazy

The moonlight...

Open your heart to the moonlight
The moonlight...

'Au Clair De La Lune', a popular 18th century, French song.

English translation:
By the light of the moon
My friend Pierrot
Lend me your pen (quill)
To write a word
My candle is out (dead)
I have no more light (fire)
Open your door for me
For the love of God
By the light of the moon,
Pierrot replied
I don't have any pen (quill),
I'm in bed
Go to the neighbor's,
I think she's there
Because in her kitchen
Someone is using the lighter
By the light of the moon
likable Lubin
Knocks on the brunette's door
she soon responds
Who's knocking like that?
He then replies
Open your door
for the God of Love!
By the light of the moon
One could barely see
They looked for the quill
They looked for the light
With all that looking
I don't know what was found
But I do know that the door
Was shut behind them.
