  VISITING TEACHERS FROM 7 COUNTRIES IN 2o PRIMARY SCHOOL of AGIA VARVARA
WITHIN  «COMENIUS» PROJECT

Welcome our Comenius friends!!!!

   The 2nd Elementary School of Santa Barbara participates in an innovative European exchange program teachers and students called "COMENIUS". «Show me your school, I'll show you mine»,
 comeniusshowmeyourschool.blogspot.gr//, the program for two years and involves eight (8) countries: Greece, Spain, France, Bulgaria, Slovak Republic, Turkey, Poland and Romania. All countries based program to welcome and accommodate their colleagues and teachers last day of March , 3.31 to 04.04.2014, it was the turn of our country to accommodate about twenty five (25) teachers from the other seven countries in the second Elementary School in the city of Santa Barbara.

Co-me-nius! Co-me-nius! Co-me-nius! Co-me!!!

    During the first two days of stay of European colleagues in our city implemented the primarily educational part of the program. On the first day colleagues guided in our school and had a first meeting with the students. On the second day, the following actions took place in our school: A Happening improvised musical instruments made ​​by children with recyclable materials.

Traditional dances and a musical representation of the myth of Europe. Then colleagues divided into groups participated in teaching activities and workshops in classrooms. Then followed by the official welcome our guests to the ceremony hall of the Town Hall. The last day of educational activities involved both in the presentation of the educational system of our country by our district council and the debate regarding the program and future planning. At the end there was an exchange of gifts. The penultimate evening was organized by the Association of Parents and Teachers' Association revelry in the hall of the school, with traditional dances from the dance group of the Municipality and handmade delights.

Visits and meals...

   During their stay colleagues performed including cultural visits:
 City of Santa Barbara and visit the church of the same name. Walk in Piraeus and the neighborhoods. Tour of the Acropolis Museum, the sacred rock and the Roman Visit the Archaeological Museum of Athens, Benaki Museum, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the National Garden, Zappeion and Panathenaic Stadium (Kallimarmaro).
 At the last day, residence colleagues in our country we visited the ancient theater and the Museum of Epidaurus, the archaeological site of Mycenae and Nafplio.


The "Comenius Friends" passed through here...

 This meeting will remain unforgettable!!! or ...
How I would like to revisit  GREECE!!! or ....
