- 1.4 Billion Students on Earth
- 65.2 Million Educators globally
- 61 Million primary school-age children were not enrolled in school in 2010
- As of 2012, 31 Million primary-school pupils worldwide dropped out of school
- 1 in 3 young adults are expected to complete university degree before they are 30
- 1 in 5 adult in the developing world, almost 862 Million people are illiterate
The Education Gender Gap
- 31 Million girls, primary school age are not in school
- 17 Million are expected never return to education
- 4 Million fewer boys than girls out of school
- 3 Countries have over 1 Million girls not in school (Nigeria: 5.5 Million, Pakistan: 3 Million, Ethiopia: 1 Million)
- 774 Million people in the world are illiterate, 2/3 of these are females
