Tedxthessaloniki: The "School of Nature and Colours" project / Το «σχολείο της φύσης και των χρωμάτων».

Angelos Patsias is a young educator whose aim is to launch various innovative activities that will help create a new educational system that will meet the specific needs of each and every place. In his inspiring talk explains his revolutionary choice to initiate the "School of Nature and Colours" project, an educational role model of creative self-management, in which pupils are taught beyond the curriculum - among other things - how to sing and dance, stage theatrical plays, raise funds for their school through a vegetable garden and make their activities and campaigns known to the public through their blog and online channel.

Angelos Patsias was born in 1985 in Athens and grew up in Drama. After completing his studies in Primary Level Education in Alexandroupoli, he moved to Rethymno, Crete. For the last two years he has been the teacher and director of a primary school with only four teachers to cover the needs of six classes located in the mountainside of Crete, in a remote, rural village named Fourfoura.

Ο 27χρονος Άγγελος Πατσιάς είναι δάσκαλος από τη Δράμα. Πριν δύο χρόνια του ήρθε μετάθεση σε ένα τετραθέσιο δημοτικό σχολείο κάπου στο ορεινό Ρέθυμνο, τον Φουρφουρά. Άρχισε να το ψάχνει στους χάρτες. Αντί όμως να γκρινιάζει για τη «δυσμενή», πήγε και δημιούργησε εκεί το «σχολείο της φύσης και των χρωμάτων». Η εκπαιδευτική τηλεόραση που έφτιαξαν οι μαθητές του, η περίφημη Φουρφουράς TV, τα μαθήματα επιλογής, θέατρο, φωτογραφία, ρομποτική είναι λίγα μόνο από τα καινοτόμα στοιχεία που εισήγαγε εκεί! Στο τέλος της ομιλίας του στο TEDxThessaloniki καταχειροκροτήθηκε από ένα κατάμεστο και όρθιο Ολύμπιον. Τα σχόλια στο hash tag του twitter TEDxThess διθυραμβικά. Ίσως γιατί ήταν ένα από τα καλύτερα παραδείγματα «του θάρρους για δημιουργία».
